Discover your Freedom
Welcome to The Performer's Playground, the only course of its kind in the North of the U.K.
We provide superior quality theatre training and offer you the unique opportunity to commit to developing your craft in an inspirational and hilarious environment.
We believe that theatre is a game and that performers play best when they are enjoying themselves, our teaching style and modules reflect this philosophy. Our classes are full of humour, laughter, games, imagination and play that will provoke you to discover your sense of fun, pleasure and freedom on stage in front of an audience.
You will cover a range of modules in your time with us including, le Jeu (play), mask work, approaches to text, clown, bouffon, plus have regular opportunities to create your own work.
Our body work sessions draw upon yoga, movement, games, ball work and more to help you become fitter and stronger whilst developing a more playful, impulsive, and agile body. We will take to your limits and beyond and you will leave with a deeper understanding of your body, how it works for you and what you can do to stay in shape when you leave.
